17th ANNUAL HOLLYWOOD FILM FESTIVAL – 2013 CALL FOR ENTRIES. Bridging the gap between established Hollywood and the global creative community, as well as discovering emerging filmmakers.
Hailed by “Daily Variety” as “the ultimate networking opportunity,” and “the first mandatory stop in the awards season” by “The New York Times,” HOLLYWOOD FILM FESTIVAL presents filmmakers with a unique opportunity to highlight their work and network with the industry’s top executives and brightest stars.
HFF success stories include director Craig Brewer (HUSTLE AND FLOW) who was discovered by the Festival with the world premiere of his first film, THE POOR AND HUNGRY; director Robert DeFranco, who sold TELLING YOU to Miramax; and director Zoe Clarke Williams, who secured a directing job for an MGM film as a result of her participation at HFF. In addition, HFF award-winning documentarian Janine Hosking sold her documentary MY KHMER HEART to HBO and Diane Estelle Vicari had her film, SUGIHARA: CONSPIRACY OF KINDNESS, picked up by 7th Art Releasing after the Festival.
